RoHS is the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment. Basically this Directive states that from July 1st 2006 electrical and electronic equipment introduced onto the market must not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, nor the flame retardants polybromide biphenyl, or polybromide diphenyl ether. |
